研究方向玉米、水稻和苹果等作物的功能基因组

在玉米全基因组范围内筛选出了抗病和防御相关的候选基因300多个,并将他们定位到玉米基因组上,这一工作的完成为玉米各种抗病基因的克隆提供了材料、信息和技术平台;发展了一套全新的分离玉米Mu突变体旁邻序列方法,为玉米功能基因大规模克隆奠定了基础;克隆了玉米抗甘蔗花叶病毒病候选基因,已获得转基因植株,开展功能互补鉴定;完成抗青枯病、丝黑穗病基因的定位和基因区域高密度分子标记的发展,克隆候选基因,开展功能互补鉴定;构建了玉米抗病自交系FAP1360、1145等的BAC库。

在水稻中克隆了水稻广亲和基因、米香性状基因;研究了参与淀粉合成各个基因与稻米品质的关系,证明Waxy基因同时控制直链淀粉含量和胶稠度,可溶性淀粉合成酶基因SSIIa 控制糊化温度。

在苹果中克隆到了二个抗斑点病基因Vfa1 和Vfa2,体外构建了结合Vfa1 和Vfa2的‘超级’抗病基因。针对苹果等信息量极少的作物上开展图位克隆的相关技术进行了广泛的探讨。
