时玉舫,苏州大学特聘教授,转化医学研究院院长,苏州大学第一附属医院副院长,中国科学院健康科学研究所研究员,中央组织部“千人计划”首批入选者,国家特聘教授,国家973研究计划总体组成员。于1977年至1982年在山东农学院接受本科教育,1985年至1992年在加拿大阿尔伯塔大学学习,获硕士和博士学位。1992年至1995年间在加拿大多伦多大学完成博士后工作。1995年起在美国红十字协会Holland医学生物研究所和乔治华盛顿大学任助理教授,于1999年晋升为终身副教授。2001年在美国新泽西医科齿科大学-罗伯特?伍德?约翰逊医学院任终身副教授并于 2003年晋升为终身教授,并成为该大学特聘首席大学教授。

时玉舫教授从1988年开始致力于细胞凋亡领域的研究,尤其是T细胞凋亡方面。建立了激活诱导淋巴细胞凋亡(activation-induced cell death,AICD)的概念,同时发现了c-myc对AICD的调节作用,为相关肿瘤免疫调节治疗和药物研发奠定了重要基础。其早年证明的Rapamycin促进化疗药物引起的癌细胞凋亡的研究结果目前已成为癌症治疗领域中的新方向。时玉舫研究员近期研究发现的成体干细胞的免疫调节特性,为干细胞在自身免疫性疾病的治疗和在器官移植上的应用提供了重要科学依据。迄今为止,时玉舫研究员已发表SCI收录的研究论文170余篇,包括国际知名学术期刊Nature,Science,Nature Medicine, Nature Immunology,Cell Stem Cell, Immunity,PNAS,J. Exp. Med等,总引用10,000余次数。时玉舫教授,自1997年至2010年担任Cell Research杂志的编委和副主编。1999年-2002年期间任Journal of Immunology副主编。回国后以中国科学家身份担任Oncogene杂志的receiving editor ,Cell Death and Disease  和Cell and Biosciences 的副主编。  时玉舫以中国科学家身份任多种杂志编委,包括,Journal of Biological Chemistry, American Journal of Translational Research, Stem cell Research and Therapy, Molecular and Cellular Immunology, Journal of Molecular and Cellular Biology 和Stem Cell and Translational Medicine等.
