Providing Human Model of Cardiac Arrhythmia Using Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells

梁平 教授

Personal profile:Ping Liang, Professor at Institute of Translational Medicine & The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He is 1000Plan Professorship for Young Talents, 1000Plan Professorship of Zhejiang Province, and Distinguished Young Scientist of Zhejiang Province. He has been focusing on the translational research of cardiovascular diseases using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for many years. He has published 17 papers in international leading journals, 4 of which are published in JACC, Circulation, JBC and Biophysical Journal as first author or co-corresponding author; 3 of which are published in Cell Stem Cell, JACC and Circulation as co-first author. Total impact factor is 178.5 and total citation is 921. These papers have been awarded as 'Circulation Best Paper in Basic Science', and recommended by F1000.


Major research interests:

1. Differentiation of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) into cardiovascular cells, including cardiomyocytes (CMs) and endothelial cells (ECs)

2. Molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases using hiPSC-CMs and hiPSC-ECs

3. Cardiac electrophysiology and pharmacology using hESC- and hiPSC-CMs
